Employment Notice

The Town of Scott, Brown County, WI (pop: 3,641) is seeking a full-time employee to perform work for the Scott Municipal Utility District (SMU). The individual hired for this position will be able to perform duties related to the operation and maintenance of the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Assignments will also include working on other Town functions such as street and park maintenance, as needed. Regular work duties and requirements will be established and reviewed by the Lead Operator, however the employee in this position will be expected, at times to work independently and have the ability to complete day-to-day duties with little or no supervision. There will be frequent interaction with the public and other Town employees. Hourly pay will be dependent on qualifications, plus benefits. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge and experience in water/wastewater/stormwater system construction, operation, and maintenance; possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and effective written and communication skills. Certification by the WI DNR as a Public Water Supply Operator within 1-year of employment.
