LEAD OPERATOR WATER / WASTEWATER / STORMWATER

The Town of Scott, Brown County, WI (pop: 3,679) is seeking a fulltime employee to perform work for the Scott Municipal Utility (SMU).  The individual hired for this position will be the Lead Operator; able to perform duties related to the operation and maintenance of the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.  Assignments will also include working on other Town functions such as street and park maintenance, as needed.  The employee in this position will be expected to work independently, set direction for the assistant Operator(s) and have the ability to complete day-to-day duties with little or no supervision.  There will be frequent interaction with the public and other Town employees.  Hourly pay will be dependent on qualifications, plus benefits.  Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge and experience in water/wastewater/stormwater system construction, operation, and maintenance; possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, basic computer skills, and effective written and communication skills.  Certification by the WI DNR as a Public Water Supply Operator within 1-year of employment. Spectrum work in Royal Scot Area

Spectrum began installing infrastructure for high speed internet/cable TV in the right-of-way in the Royal Scot area. This project started earlier this spring. They plan on completing this project sometime in September. They have hired a contractor to re-seed the grass in the right-of-way, which has already begun. Once completed, residents should contact Spectrum for service if interested. Completion should be done by the end of September.
