Deputy Clerk/Treasurer/Utility Clerk
The Town of Scott is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Clerk/Treasurer/Utility Clerk.
This position provides statutory support and assistance to the Clerk/Treasurer. The ideal candidate will have data entry computer skills, knowledge of Excel and Word, accounting/bookkeeping practices, experience taking meeting minutes, and election and municipal experience. Candidates will need good organizational skills and be able to work independently. Must work well with the public and have good communication skills.
This full-time position qualifies for enrollment in the State of Wisconsin health care and retirement programs. Starting hourly rate of pay will be determined based upon candidate’s qualifications.
Essential skills, abilities and duties:
• Utility Billing
• Election administration assistance
• Collecting fees for Licensing and Permits
• Ability to communicate verbally in a clear, courteous, and tactful manner
• Ability to gather information and prepare committee and board minutes
• Complete WisVote required training hours
• Other duties as assigned
