The Town Board appoints community members to serve on boards, committees, and commissions that research local issues and offer recommendations tailored to their specific focus areas.

The Scott Municipal Utility Commissioners are a board of five local residents, appointed by the Town Board, who help oversee and guide the operation of public utilities in the Town of Scott. Some of their key responsibilities include financial oversight, setting utility rates, and planning for infrastructure needs. The board meets on the second Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall, unless otherwise noted.

The Parks Committee meets monthly and serves as an advisory body to the Town Board, meeting monthly to focus on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Town of Scott’s parks. In addition to their ongoing oversight responsibilities, the committee is also tasked with creating and updating the Town’s Parks and Recreational Plan.

The Town of Scott has one polling location. On Election Night, the Board of Canvassers—composed of the town’s Election Inspectors—convenes to canvass the results of municipal elections, including those for Chairperson, Supervisors, and Constables. This is a public meeting, open to observation.
If any provisional ballots were issued and processed on Election Day, the Board may reconvene at a later date, which would be noticed on the Town’s Website.
The Board of Review is an annual meeting consisting of the Town Board members. Its primary responsibility is to hear sworn testimony from residents who wish to contest the assessed value of their property. The Board reviews the evidence presented and determines whether adjustments to property assessments are warranted.
The Plan Commission is a citizen-led advisory committee responsible for reviewing matters related to land use, planning, and rezoning within the Town of Scott. The commission also plays a key role in maintaining and updating the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, ensuring that future growth and development align with the community’s long-term goals and values.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial committee that hears petitions and requests to construct buildings or uses that are not permitted with the Zoning ordinance. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets as needed.

As part of their boundary agreement, the City of Green Bay and the Town of Scott established a Joint Plan Commission. This commission is responsible for reviewing major development proposals and planning initiatives along their shared border.
Board members include: Tom Nelson, Gerald Hruska, and Daniel Spielmann.
The Town Annual Meeting of Elections is a long-standing tradition unique to towns, where residents have the opportunity to vote directly on important matters as outlined in Wisconsin State Statutes 60.10. During the meeting, the Clerk/Treasurer also presents the town’s annual financial statement. The meetings occurs on the third Tuesday of April at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
