Clerk/Treasurer

The Clerk/Treasurer is a combined position in the Town of Scott, appointed by the Town Board. As outlined in Wisconsin State Statute 60.33, the Clerk's responsibilities include managing official records, preparing meeting minutes, overseeing elections, issuing notices, and handling licensing duties.

The duties of the Treasurer are defined in Wisconsin State Statute 60.34 and include receiving and disbursing town funds, depositing town money, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and tax roll.

Property tax payments are collected by the Brown County Treasurer.
